You've made the first step in advancing your future. Scholarships are a great way to help pay for college and are one of many ways that you can fund your education. PBMAH scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit, leadership, community service participation and financial need or any combination of these items. The Positive Black Male Association of Houston is a non-profit organization dedicated to the allocation of its scholarship funds to PBMAH graduates. PBMAH was established in 2000. PBMAH is a 501 (c) 3 tax- exempt organization and scholarships are awarded from fundraisers, donations and foundation gifts. all funds are awards to PBMAH graduates and paid directly to colleges and universities. We seek to reward students that have shown the aptitude and desire to further themselves and develop their talents so that they may lead productive and fruitful lives in the community. In addition to the scholarships that are granted, we have established a "mentoring program" to encourage recipients to accomplish this goal. |
