Welcome to the Positive Black Male Association of Houston (PBMAH) scholarships page. Scholarships are a great way to help pay for college and are one of many ways that you can fund your education. PBMAH scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit, leadership, community service participation and financial need or any combination of these items.
The Positive Black Male Association of Houston is a non-profit organization dedicated to the allocation of its scholarship funds to PBMAH graduates. PBMAH was established in 2000. PBMAH is a 501 (c) 3 tax- exempt organization and scholarships are awarded from fundraisers, donations and foundation gifts. all funds are awards to PBMAH graduates and paid directly to colleges and universities.
We seek to reward students that have shown the aptitude and desire to further themselves and develop their talents so that they may lead productive and fruitful lives in the community. In addition to the scholarships that are granted, we have established a "mentoring program" to encourage recipients to accomplish this goal.
Scholarship Applications Applying for scholarships is an important part of planning for a successful college experience. You may qualify for different scholarships based on the type of student you are.
Dorothy M. Baylark Educational Scholarship -Will be given to a female member of the grad chapter, who has been active with PBMA and giving back time to the program.($500 to 1 recipient )

For more than a decade the “Reaching Youth Everywhere" (RYE) Program has become a vital part of the Positive Black Male Association of Houston, Inc., sending students to colleges and universities all across America since 2007. Our students have been accepted yearly into Colleges & Universities. Schools such as Harvard, Georgetown, Texas, Baylor, Texas A&MU, LSU, Howard, Morehouse, Grambling, Tuskegee, TCU, Florida A&M, University of Houston, Texas Southern, Prairie View A&M University, along with many more. We are building Tomorrow's Leaders Today!
