IN THE BEGINNING. |
OUR GROWTH. |
At the early age of seven years old, Dr. Rob learned the benefits of mentoring. It was at this tender age that he discovered his first male mentor and the importance of having role models that make a difference. Just as young males today need positive outcomes, he found his in the backyard of Mr. William “Kid” Franklin, who created the first African American Boys Club in the city of Montgomery, AL. This later became his drive and enthusiasm for founding PBMA and giving back to boys in need who desired more in life than neighborhood corners and Texas prisons.

Since its inception, PBMAH has expanded their focus in reaching all youth everywhere. This direction lead to the creation of "Ladies of Great Purpose" also known as LOGP which provides all girls programs. Both PBMAH and LOGP work together on developing youth from all backgrounds toward college readiness and scholarships. Throughout the last 5 years, PBMAH has given out more than $100,000 to students advancing in post secondary education such as the Armed Forces, National Guard, and accredited colleges and HBCU's. PBMAH is a forerunner within the community of Houston by serving, providing, educating, and instilling the desire to lead.
